Freshman Phenom Dylan Dubovik Earns ACC Player of the Week After Explosive Series

Miami’s red-hot start to the 2026 season continues to generate national attention, and freshman outfielder Dylan Dubovik is the latest Hurricane to be recognized for his standout play.

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Monday that Dubovik has been named ACC Player of the Week after a dominant weekend performance that helped fuel Miami’s offensive eruption during a four-game sweep of Lafayette. The honor also marks the second straight week a Hurricane has claimed the award, following Derek Williams’ selection the previous week.

Dubovik delivered one of the most impressive series performances in the country, hitting .818 (9-for-11) across three games. The Coral Springs native repeatedly sparked Miami’s lineup, scoring six runs while launching three home runs and adding two doubles. He also drove in nine runs and swiped two bases, showcasing both power and speed as the Hurricanes overwhelmed Lafayette throughout the weekend.

The freshman piled up 20 total bases and finished the series with an eye-popping 1.818 slugging percentage. His production came at the center of an offense that erupted for more than 70 runs during the four-game set.

Through his first six appearances in a Miami uniform, Dubovik has been nearly unstoppable at the plate. He is hitting .846 (11-for-13) with three doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI. Dubovik has also scored seven runs while compiling 23 total bases, giving him a staggering 1.769 slugging percentage along with an .813 on-base percentage early in the season.

Dubovik’s recognition adds to what has been an explosive opening stretch for the Hurricanes, whose lineup has been among the most productive in college baseball to start the year.

Around the conference, Notre Dame junior right-hander Jack Radel was named ACC Pitcher of the Week. Radel delivered a perfect outing against UCF, tossing six flawless innings while striking out nine. The Sioux Falls native faced the minimum and needed only 68 pitches to complete the six-inning performance, earning a spot on the Live Like Lou Jacksonville Classic All-Tournament Team.

The Hurricanes have now produced the ACC’s Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks, with Williams earning the first honor of the season on Feb. 16 before Dubovik followed with the award for games played Feb. 16–22.
